VINTAGE VEHICLES

The cars and commercial vehicles of the bygone era are restored to their former glory, the wonderful fire engines of the past century, each of wVintage carhich has its own history. Many of these vehicles have appeared in films and television program's. The military equipment always brings the stories of ”when I was in the Army” or “in the mob” be it the second world war, national service or other activities.

Once again the show will show one of the largest collections of motor cycle's, more than 175 machines are expected dating from the early part of the 20th century, to the Military vehicledemise of the British motor cycle industry in the 1970's. Names, such as Triumph, Norton, Sunbeam, B.S.A. and many not so well known, all in full working order and taking part in the arena parades. What memories that the sound of these machines bring back.

A large number of farm and industrial tractors Motorcyclesthrough the ages form a large display of 80 vehicles, each having built to meet a different task and as varied in purpose with the power they produce, The display of working exhibits of the past shows the time when plenty of man power waTractors needed to assist the operating of the machines.

An area not to miss is the stationary engines, where a display of more than 70 machines of past years will be displayed. These engines formed the back bone of rural England, powering many farm and country houses. These machines drove water pump, electrical generators, farm and dairy equipment, and powered small workshops and factories. Many of these machines have a long and interesting history having been used on various well known estates around the country.
